As per reports, following are the latest updates on the farmers’ Delhi Chalo protest as of Sunday (18 February):

• The farmers’ unions who have been protesting at the Shambhu border between Punjab and Haryana, have established camps at the site and expressed their intent to resume their protest indefinitely till the Central Government concedes their demands. As of 1900 hours of Sunday (18 February), 4,000 farmers remain at the Delhi-Noida border, and the Shambhu border.
• Authorities, as well as farmer unions, have stated that the Delhi-bound farmers from Punjab, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh will resume their blockade for another week. Accordingly, the administration in Fatehgarh Sahib, Patiala, and Sangrur DIstricts in Punjab have extended their internet suspension till 24 February, with other districts of Punjab and Haryana likely to do the same.
• The farmers met with Union ministers Arjun Munda, Piyush Goyal, and Nityanand Rai at 1800 hours in the evening of Sunday (18 February) in Chandigarh, for the fourth round of negotiations between the Central Government and the farmers’ unions. Further developments from these talks are yet to be announced.
