As per reports, two terrorists have been killed during an encounter in Kulgam district, Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday (02 August). The encounter was reported through the intervening night between Friday (01 August) and Saturday (02 August) between security forces and terrorists.

The overnight encounter commenced following a cordon and search operation by security forces in a forest area at Akhal in the south Kashmir district. They had received intelligence inputs about potential terrorist presence. The identity and group affiliation of the terrorists are yet to be ascertained.
