As per reports, the following are the updates on the indefinite strike by doctors of Indira Gandhi Medical College and Hospital (IGMCH), Shimla, as of Monday (29 December):

• On Sunday (28 December), IGMC resident doctors called off their indefinite strike after the Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister’s assurance on the probe and revocation of the termination of Dr Narula.
• The doctors have also announced their plans to hold a meeting again on Saturday (03 January) to discuss their future plan of action in case their demands are not resolved.
