Update on cholera outbreak in Mozambique as on Tuesday (18 November)

As per reports, recent cholera outbreak within the past two and a half months in northern Mozambique has resulted in nearly 500 confirmed cases and three deaths.

• The outbreak primarily affects Nampula and Tete provinces, with a significant number of cases admitted to healthcare facilities.
• World Health Organisation (WHO) will donate 3.5 million cholera vaccine doses to help curb the spread of the disease.
