As per reports, on Tuesday (30 September) multiple university buildings at the University of Delaware (UD) were evacuated following a bomb threat report.

• Gore Hall, Mitchell Hall, and Sharp Lab, all located along South College Avenue, were cleared at approximately 1145 hours local time (1545 hours UTC) after UD received a report of an explosive device.
• The evacuation and temporary closure were carried out as a precaution to protect the campus community.
• The incident prompted a coordinated response involving UD Police, Newark Police, Delaware Capitol Police, Delaware Natural Resources Police, and local fire and emergency services, including the Aetna Hose Hook and Ladder Company.
• A portion of South College Avenue was also closed during the investigation. At approximately 1400 hours local time (1900 hours UTC), the all-clear was given, and the report was determined to be unfounded.
• Officials confirmed that the threat was part of a wider pattern, with multiple institutions across Delaware, Maryland, and other states receiving similar safety threats on the same day.
• While Delaware State University canceled classes for the remainder of the day, UD resumed operations with the exception of the temporarily closed buildings.
