As per reports, a bomb alert was reported on an Air Malta plane arriving from Faro, Portugal at Charleroi Airport on Tuesday (13 May).
• The incident led to the evacuation of 166 passengers and the establishment of a 500-meter security perimeter.
• Operations at the airport were suspended, causing significant delays and the diversion of flights to other airports.
• The runway and nearby National 05 road were closed as a precaution.
• Operations have resumed at the airport as of 1510 hours local time although major delays are reported.
