According to the latest reports, the following are the latest important developments regarding the anti-government protests by the students in Bangladesh, as of Sunday (11 August):
• On Saturday (10 August), lakhs of Hindus staged protests against the ongoing attacks on the community. These protests were held in Dhaka and Chittagong.
• The University Teachers’ Network made several long-term recommendations to the interim government, including youth participation in the political processes. Further demands included the prosecution of corruption, and law enforcement to be deployed immediately without discrimination, amongst other demands.
• The administration of Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology (RUET) has banned all forms of political activities on campus.
