As per reports, an Garda Síochána have appealed to the public, particularly young males, not to engage in further public disorder following two consecutive nights of rioting near the Citywest Hotel in Saggart, west Dublin, which houses asylum seekers.

• Significant damage to property and disruption to local life have been reported after violent demonstrations over two nights. During the third night of protests on Wednesday (22 October), protesters confronted around 40 gardaí, with the Public Order Unit later deployed. Missiles were thrown, pepper spray used, and mounted and canine police units were dispatched, supported by an aerial helicopter unit.
• Authorities confirmed 31 arrests. Four gardaí sustained injuries, were hospitalised, and later discharged. Gardaí also seized 15 scooters and e-bikes used during the disorder.
• A continued Garda presence will remain around Citywest Hotel for four to five days, with CCTV and body-camera footage under review. Another protest is scheduled for Thursday (23 October) night, and police have cautioned the public against attendance.
