As per reports, the Association of Teachers of the National University of La Plata (ADULP) has approved a 24-hour strike for Thursday (17 September), resulting in the suspension of classes at the university.
• The strike is scheduled to coincide with a mobilisation to the Pizzurno Palace in Buenos Aires and the resumption of national salary negotiations between university unions and the government.
• University unions rejected the government’s proposed salary increases of three percent for September and three percent for October, citing insufficient compensation for accumulated inflation.
• The unions are demanding salary adjustments linked to inflation, implementation of the University Financing Law, and increased funding for university operations and research.
