As per reports, unionized truckers are planning to launch a nationwide strike, starting at 0001 hours local time on Tuesday (07 January). The action is to protest over alleged unfulfilled promises by the national government, over diesel prices, among other issues.

It is unclear if the strike will move forward or how many unions will join. Truckers from the Santander department had initially confirmed the strike, but some of its members continue to negotiate with the government.
