As per reports, Tamil Nadu Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) state president Nainar Nagendran is conducting a tour across Tamil Nadu currently. This tour is scheduled to conclude in Pudukkottai on Friday (09 January). A grand public meeting is expected to be held for the same, and Union Home Minister Amit Shah is expected to attend. However, an official confirmation for the same is awaited.
The details are as follows:
• The visit which was earlier scheduled on Friday (09 January), has been preponed and is now expected to take place either on Sunday-Monday (04-05 January) or Monday-Tuesday (05–06 January).
• Amit Shah is expected to arrive at Tiruchy airport on Sunday (04 January) and travel onward to Pudukkottai by road under security arrangements.
• During the proposed visit, Amit Shah is expected to participate in a public meeting in Pudukkottai and later attend a Pongal celebration in Tiruchy.
• The visit is also expected to include consultations with leaders of NDA parties, particularly All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) General Secretary Edappadi K Palaniswami, as Assembly elections are expected in approximately three to four months.
