As per reports, at approximately 1700 hours on Wednesday (07 May), an improvised explosive device (IED) was detonated by an unknown assailant targeting a military engineer team in Ban Mai Kaen, Tambon Noen Ngam – Ban Atakuwowo, in front of Kubow, Ban Ko To Tue Ra, Village 1, Tambon Ko To Tue Ra, Amphoe Raman, Yala Province, Thailand.
The attack occurred while the team was returning to their accommodation after dredging a canal along the railway road. Security forces have secured the site and are conducting further investigations as of Wednesday (07 May).
