As per reports, two commercial planes of Delta Airlines collided while taxiing at New York’s LaGuardia Airport on Wednesday (01 October), causing one plane’s wing to detach.

• The incident took place at 2156 hours local time on the tarmac.
• The nose of one aircraft collided with the right wing of the other while both planes were taxiing, according to Air Traffic Control (ATC) audio recordings.
• The collision resulted in damage to one jet’s wing and windshield damage on the other aircraft, as reported by the pilots.
• One person sustained injuries as a result of the accident.
