According to reports, ferries will be suspended from around 0720 hours to 0950 hours on Thursday (03 July) and again on Monday (07 July) from around 1000 hours till 1200 hours.
The transportation changes are due to the arrival of Chinese naval fleet. Authorities will also be implementing restrictions in some flying zones.
• The affected routes include those between Central and Cheung Chau, Mui Wo, Peng Chau, Yung Shue Wan, Sok Kwu Wan, Discovery Bay. The routes of Aberdeen-Pak Kok Tsuen-Yung Shue Wan, Aberdeen-Sok Kwu Wan via Mo Tat, as well as Ma Wan-Central, will also be affected.
• Temporary service adjustments for franchised and licensed ferry routes transiting through Victoria Harbour on the morning of Monday (07 July) might also be needed.
• Ferry operators would strengthen services before 0730 hours on Thursday (03 July) for individual routes to ease the passenger flow during peak hours.
• The Civil Aviation Department also announced the establishment of temporary restricted flying zones in the areas around East Lamma Channel, Western Anchorage, Victoria Harbour and Tathong Channel from Thursday to Monday (03-07 July).
• All aircraft, including planes, helicopters and small unmanned aircraft, will be restricted from entering the areas, while other flying activities will also be restricted within the zones.
