The Hong Kong Observatory (HKO) issued a thunderstorm warning at 0710 hours (local time) on Monday (21 September).
• Thunderstorms are forecast to affect parts of the New Territories around 0900 hours (local time).
• The HKO has advised people outdoors to seek shelter in a safe location during thunderstorms. People should avoid swimming and other outdoor water activities and should not remain on high ground or near conductive objects, trees or masts.
