As per reports, traffic regulations and lane closures have been announced by the Hellenic Police on the Attiki Odos motorway (A6) in Athens from Friday (27 February) at approximately 2200 hours local time (1900 hours UTC) until 30 April at approximately 0600 hours local time (0300 hours UTC) due to scheduled infrastructure maintenance and technical works.
• The traffic measures are expected to affect specific sections of the Attiki Odos motorway, including segments between key interchanges and access points serving major commuter and airport routes.
• Reports indicate that the restrictions include the closure of selected right, middle, acceleration, and deceleration lanes, as well as entrance and exit branches at the Pallini Airport Interchange (Y8), affecting traffic movement toward Rafina, Pallini, and Athens.
• During these closures, traffic is expected to be maintained through limited lane availability and redirected through designated diversion routes, including Agios Dimitrios Interchange, Marathonos Avenue, Pogoni Street, and the Hymettus Peripheral Road network.
• Additionally, a full closure of a section of the Hymettus Peripheral Road between kilometer markers 14.200 and 13.950 in the direction toward Athens is expected to be implemented.
• Authorities have indicated that traffic guidance measures, including road signage and diversion indicators, may be implemented to facilitate safe vehicle movement.
