As per reports, the DC Half Marathon is scheduled to take place in Washington, D.C., on Saturday (19 September) and Sunday (20 September).

• The DC Half Marathon weekend is scheduled to comprise a 5K race on Saturday (19 September), commencing at 0800 hours local time (1200 hours UTC), followed by the half marathon on Sunday (20 September), commencing at 0700 hours local time (1100 hours UTC), with both races starting and concluding at West Potomac Park in Washington, D.C.
• According to the authorities, the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) and U.S. Park Police (USPP) are scheduled to implement multiple road closures and traffic restrictions to facilitate the races and ensure participant safety.
• Additionally, reports indicate that the principal closures on Sunday (20 September) are scheduled to remain in effect from 0600 hours local time (1000 hours UTC) to 1100 hours local time (1500 hours UTC).
• The affected network includes key approaches to West Potomac Park, the National Mall, the Potomac River Freeway, Independence Avenue, Maine Avenue, Ohio Drive and the Theodore Roosevelt Bridge.
