According to reports, the Tangerang City Police Traffic Unit has prepared a traffic safety scheme to anticipate traffic jams and accidents for the upcoming Christmas and New Year 2026 celebrations.

During the Christmas and New Year period, there will be vehicle restrictions that will be in effect from Friday (19 December) to Sunday (04 January), at the Tangerang Merak Toll Road KM.43 and KM.45, the Citra Raya area, Tigaraksa Square, Solear Street, and in the Pasar Kemis area.

• The restrictions apply to three-axle mining vehicles, with only essential loads such as necessities, fuel, livestock, and animal feed permitted.
• Mining trucks are only permitted between 2200 hours and 0500 hours (local time) during the mentioned dates.
• Police will also install warning symbols on arterial roads and toll roads regarding congestion at the Merak Port crossing point.
