As per reports, the Unión de Transportistas y Comerciantes Ducks México AC has announced a major road blockade in the municipality of Naucalpan de Juárez, Estado de México, on Tuesday (16 June), affecting key road corridors in the Estado de México and certain access routes to Mexico City
• The primary demand of the mobilisation is the removal of Pedro Gálvez, subdirector of Desarrollo y Fomento Económico in the State of Mexico, who is accused of repeated abuses of authority, threats, and extortion against the transporter and trader communities.
• The roads expected to be affected by the blockade are: Lomas Verdes, 1ro de Mayo, Gustavo Baz, and the Lateral de Periférico.
• According to the reports, no specific start time has been confirmed by the organisers. The participating groups acknowledged that temporary disruptions will be caused to the general public and issued an apology in advance for delays.
• The organisation Yaki Alfa, which operates in the Estado de México, has also confirmed its participation in the protest, expressing support for transporters, traders and citizens demanding justice and respect for their rights.
