Train service disruptions expected in Dallas between Wednesday (10 December) and Thursday (11 December)

As per reports, Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) is scheduled to pause rail service in Downtown Dallas starting at 2130 hours local time (0330 hours UTC on 11 December) on Wednesday (10 December), with the suspension lasting until 0400 hours local time (1000 hours UTC) on Thursday (11 December) to allow for scheduled safety maintenance and system testing.

• During this window, only portions of the rail network may operate. Red Line trains may run between Parker Road and SMU/Mockingbird, and between EBJ Union and Westmoreland; Blue Line trains may operate between Downtown Rowlett and SMU/Mockingbird, and between EBJ Union and UNT Dallas; Green Line trains is expected to operate between Baylor and Buckner, and between Victory and North Carrollton/Frankford; Orange Line trains may run between Victory and DFW Airport, while the Silver Line remains unaffected.
• Passengers needing to reach Parker Road must transfer to a Red Line train at SMU/Mockingbird. Shuttle buses running every 20 minutes will support affected routes. Green Line passengers can transfer to shuttle buses at Victory or Baylor Station with stops at Victory, West End, Pearl/Arts District, Deep Ellum and Baylor.
• Red, Blue and Orange Line passengers can access shuttle buses at EBJ Union or SMU/Mockingbird for stops at EBJ Union, West End, Akard, St. Paul, Pearl/Arts District, CityPlace/Uptown and SMU/Mockingbird. DART staff, volunteers and police will be present at major stations to guide commuters throughout the disruption.
