Train service disruption reported in parts of Singapore on Thursday (28 August)

As per reports, the Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) train services on the Downtown Line (DTL) between Bukit Panjang and Beauty World stations reported a temporary disruption caused by a signalling fault, on Thursday (28 August) morning.

• The morning disruption lasted for about an hour, affecting the DTL service between Bukit Panjang and Beauty World stations. There are three DTL stations between Bukit Panjang and Beauty World – Cashew, Hillview and Hume.
• At 0715 hours (local time), SBS Transit had stated that recovery works were ongoing and that there was a train shuttle service between Bukit Panjang and Beauty World stations. It had earlier activated free regular and bridging bus services at designated stops.
• Later it was announced at 0810 hours on Thursday (28 August), that free regular and bridging bus services have ceased, with the fault recovered at 0722 hours.
