As per reports, rail passengers in Tayside and Stirling experienced disruptions on Thursday (12 December) due to damage to overhead wires. The line was temporarily closed after an object became entangled in the wires near Bridge of Allan.
• The issue impacted train services operating through Stirling, Dunblane, Perth, and Dundee.
• The damage to the overhead wires between Stirling and Dunblane has been repaired, and all lines have reopened. However, several services have been canceled or delayed, with disruptions expected until 1700 hours (local time) on Thursday (12 December).
• The following alternative transport arrangements have been confirmed:- Four buses at Stirling will operate to Perth as needed.- Two buses at Perth will operate to Stirling as needed.- Three buses are stationed at Edinburgh Park and will be utilized as required.- Three buses are stationed at Queen Street and will be utilized as required.
