Traffic restrictions issued for the 2026 Keelung Qidu Fireworks Carnival on Friday (27 February)

As per reports, the 2026 Keelung Qidu Fireworks Carnival will be held on Friday (27 February) in Qidu District, Keelung.

To facilitate event safety and manage anticipated crowd volumes, local authorities have announced traffic control measures across key roads and pedestrian areas.

• Chongxiao Street will be placed under full traffic control from 1600 hours (local time) on Friday (27 February).
• Beginning at 2100 hours (local time), additional closures will take effect, including the walkways on both banks of the Keelung River, Junde Suspension Bridge, the Junxian Road ramp of Provincial Highway 62, and areas at both ends of Qixian Bridge. These restrictions will remain in place until crowds have fully dispersed after the fireworks display.
• Designated parking areas include the Qidu District Office parking lot, Guangming 1 and Guangming 2 public parking lots, the Qidu parking lot, and the Qidu Bus Station parking lot.
• Authorities have advised that a significant influx of people and vehicles is expected in Qidu District throughout the event period. Event attendees have been advised to prioritise public transportation and to comply with on-site police and traffic management instructions.
