As per reports, in order to avoid daily traffic jams on Gandhi Setu and the bypass area in Patna city, several traffic restrictions have been implemented, as of Friday (20 December). Routes have been changed for large commercial vehicles entering the western parts of the city from Zero Mile, as follows:

• The trucks coming from Hajipur will cross Gandhi Bridge and go from Zero Mile via Masaurhi Mor, Pahadi, Bypass Thana Mor, Toll Plaza, Didarganj, under Fatuha ROB and go towards Bihta via Sarmera-Bihta road.
• Trucks going from Bakhtiyarpur towards West Bihta will pass under Fatuha ROB and proceed towards Bihta via the Sarmera-Bihta road.
• Trucks going towards Bihta from Jehanabad, Masaurhi will go via the Sarmera-Bihta road near Beldari Chak.
• Trucks entering West Patna urban area from Zero Mile will be given time from 2200 to 0600 hours.
• There is no ban on vehicles carrying essential services like fuel supply, milk, ambulance and hearse.
