As per reports, in view of the Mupperum Vizha event some routes have been changed and vehicles have been advised to take alternate routes in Karur on Wednesday (17 September).

• Following this, vehicles going to Coimbatore, Erode, Salem, and other districts via the Karur-Trichy road have been changed to take the Aravakurichi bypass, two kilometers after the Mayanur toll plaza, via the Uppidamangalam section.
• Similarly, vehicles going to Dindigul, Madurai, Aravakurichi, and other areas via the Karur-Trichy road have been diverted to travel via the Uppidamangalam section via Palayam.
• Vehicles going to Trichy on the Coimbatore-Karur route have been diverted to travel via the K.Paramathi four-road junction and via Noyyal Cross Road, Velayudhampalayam, and Vangal to Trichy.
• Vehicles going to Trichy on the Erode-Karur route have been diverted to go to Trichy via Noyyal Roundabout, Velayudhampalayam, Pugalur, Vangal, Mohanur, and vehicles coming from Madurai and Dindigul via Karur to Trichy have been diverted to take the Aravakurichi, Pungambadi section via R. Vellodu, Palayam, Chinthamanipatti, and Thogaimalai.
