As per reports, the Mumbai Traffic Police (MTP) have made the following arrangements in South Mumbai ahead of New Year’s celebrations, which will remain in effect between 0600 hours of Sunday (31 December) and 0600 hours of Monday (01 January 2024):

• Both the Northbound and Southbound carriageway of Netaji Subhas Road (Marine Drive) from NCPA till Girgaon Chowpatty (and vice-versa) will remain closed for all parking and traffic movement, except for emergency vehicles.
• Commuters are advised to use Ahilyabai Holkar Chowk (Churchgate) – Maharshi Karve Chowk – Marine Lines – Charni Road – Pandit Paluskar Chowk (Opera House) route, and vice-versa as an alternative route.
• The Northbound carriageway of the Veer Nariman Road from Ahilyabai Holkar Chowk to Kilachand Chowk will remain closed for vehicular traffic and parking.
• Dinshaw Vacha Road from WIAA Chowk to Marine Plaza junction will remain closed for vehicular traffic, while parking will be restricted to residents of buildings in the lane.
• The Northbound carriageway of Madam Cama Road from Mantralaya Junction to Air India junction will remain closed for all vehicular movement and parking.
• The Northbound carriageway of Barrister Rajni Patil Marg, from Sakhar Bhavan Junction to Netaji Subhash Road will remain shut for all vehicular movement and parking. Commuters are advised to take the right from the Trident Hotel “out” gate, and use Usha Mehta Chowk – Free Press Marg Circle as an alternative route.
• Vinay K Shah Road from Jamanalal Bajaj Marg to Murli Deora Chowk will remain shut for all vehicular movement. Commuters are advised to use Ramnath Goenka Marg, and proceed along the above mentioned route from Usha Mehta Chowk – Free Press Marg Circle as an alternative.
