Traffic modifications and parking bans to be issued in Sanremo from Monday (13 October) to Sunday (19 October)

As per reports, for the 72nd Sanremo Rally and associated races scheduled from Wednesday (15 October) to Sunday (19 October), the Sanremo Municipal Police Command has issued an ordinance introducing extensive traffic and parking restrictions across the city.

• The measures aim to ensure safety and enable the installation of race infrastructure at key locations, mainly around the city centre and seafront. The restrictions begin on Monday (13 October) and continue through Sunday (19 October).
• On Gavagnin Street, parking is prohibited on various stretches from Monday (13 October) to Saturday (18 October). Traffic is prohibited from 1300 hours local time (1100 hours UTC) on Saturday (18 October) to 1700 hours local time (1500 hours UTC). Only Rally vehicles, emergency services, and police are exempt during that period.
• On Carlo Dapporto Square, traffic and parking are prohibited with forced removal from 1900 hours local time (1700 hours UTC) on Wednesday (15 October) to 2200 hours local time (2000 hours UTC) on Sunday (19 October). This area is designated for the Rallye’s start and finish facilities.
• On Italo Calvino Promenade, traffic and parking are prohibited with forced removal from 1400 hours local time (1200 hours UTC) on Wednesday (15 October) to 0000 hours local time (2200 hours UTC) on Sunday (19 October).
• On Adolfo Rava Street, traffic and parking are prohibited from 1400 hours local time (1200 hours UTC) on Wednesday (15 October) to 0000 hours local time (2200 hours UTC) on Sunday (19 October). The street will host event facilities, while the regular market will still take place on Saturday (18 October) from 0600 hours local time (0400 hours UTC) to 1600 hours local time (1400 hours UTC).
• On Vittorio Emanuele II Seafront, traffic and parking are prohibited from 0000 hours local time (2200 hours UTC) on Thursday (16 October) to 1200 hours local time (1000 hours UTC) on Sunday (19 October). This zone will be used for Rallye structures and spectator areas.
• On Corso Nazario Sauro and in the Vittorio Veneto Gardens, traffic and parking are prohibited from Thursday (16 October) to Sunday (19 October). Two-way traffic will operate on the hillside of the gardens to preserve local access.
• On the Cycle Path, pedestrian and bicycle traffic are prohibited between the Lungomare Vittorio Emanuele II overpass and Via Bixio from Friday (17 October) to Sunday (19 October).
• On San Bartolomeo Street, traffic and parking are prohibited with one-way traffic (sea to mountain) from 1000 hours local time (0800 hours UTC) to 2100 hours local time (1900 hours UTC) on Friday (17 October), and from 0600 hours local time (0400 hours UTC) to 1300 hours local time (1100 hours UTC) on Saturday (18 October). Exceptions apply for residents, public transport, and Rallye vehicles.
• On Monte Ortigara Road, traffic and parking are prohibited from 1000 hours local time (0800 hours UTC) on Friday (17 October) to 1300 hours local time (1100 hours UTC) on Saturday (18 October). Access is allowed only up to the aqueduct basin for residents and essential services.
• On Ludovico Ariosto Street, traffic and parking are prohibited and a one-way system is established between San Giacomo and San Bartolomeo from 0630 hours local time (0430 hours UTC) to 1300 hours local time (1100 hours UTC) on Saturday (18 October).
• On Senator Marsaglia Street, parking is prohibited with forced removal from 0630 hours local time (0430 hours UTC) to 2200 hours local time (2000 hours UTC) on Friday (17 October), and from 0700 hours local time (0500 hours UTC) to 1730 hours local time (1530 hours UTC) on Sunday (19 October).
• Throughout the period, the Municipal Police will regulate on-site movement, supported by mobile signs and posters. Vehicles violating restrictions will be towed in accordance with Article 159 of the Highway Code.
