As per reports, traffic restrictions will be implemented in Thiruvananthapuram city on Wednesday (14 January) from 1600 hours (local time).
These restrictions will be in place to manage vehicular movement around Sree Padmanabha Swamy Temple. The details are as follows:
• Restrictions will apply at Kizhakkekotta, Attakulangara, Sreekandeshwaram, Vazhappally, and Vettimurichakottata.
• If congestion occurs, vehicles will not be allowed to access the temple from Padinjarekottata, SP Fort, Sreekandeshwaram, Ganapathikovil, Vettimurichakottata, North Nada, and Vazhappally.
• Parking will be prohibited on roads surrounding the temple, including Ganapathikovil-SP Fort-Mithranandapuram-Vazhappally-Vettimurichakottata road, Mithranandapuram-Padinjarekottata-Inchakkal road, and Inchakkal-Kothalam-Attakulangara road.
• Large vehicles, including KSRTC buses, traveling from the Inchakkal side to East Kotta are advised to use the Inchakkal-Kothalam-Attakulangara route.
• Devotee vehicles are required to drop passengers at Vettimurichakott, Inchakkal, and Vazhappally before parking at Attukal temple parking ground.
• Small vehicles should drop passengers at East Fort, SP Fort, and Sreekandeshwaram and then park at Manjalikulam Ground, Putharikandam Maidanam, Chala Boys High School, Chala Girls High School, Attakulangara High School, Airanimuttam Homoeo College, or Airanimuttam Research Center.
• Authorities have instructed that no vehicles should be parked in areas under restriction. Legal action, including vehicle removal using recovery vehicles, will be taken against violators.
