As per reports, on Wednesday (16 April) at 1335 hours (local time), a fire broke out beneath the Jakarta Inner City Toll Road, near RT 10, RW 08, Papanggo Village, in Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta, adjacent to the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS).

• The fire originated from a garbage pile beneath the toll road and resulted in thick black smoke that ascended, affecting driver visibility and causing significant traffic congestion.
• Firefighting operations were initially hindered due to limited access in the densely populated area. Emergency personnel, including firefighters, eventually managed to contain and extinguish the blaze with assistance from local residents.
