The Delhi Traffic Police (DTP) issued a traffic advisory, stating that daily restrictions and diversions are effective between 1200-2200 hours (local time) around Jhandewalan Temple from Monday to Friday (23 to 27 March)
Following are the details:
• Movement of all heavy vehicles, including buses and commercial vehicles, will remain restricted between Kalka Das Chowk and roundabout (R/A) Jhandewalan during the aforementioned hours.
• Heavy vehicles will also not be permitted on DBG Road between these two points during the aforementioned hours.
• Buses and commercial vehicles coming from Ajmeri Gate or Rani Jhansi Road are advised to take Panchkuiyan Road – R/A Bagga – Faiz Road to reach Kalka Das Chowk.
• Similarly, vehicles coming from Kalka Das Chowk should take Faiz Road – R/A Bagga – Panchkuiyan Road for their onward journey.
• Commuters are advised to avoid Rani Jhansi Road and DBG Road, and use alternate routes such as Faiz Road, New Rohtak Road or Panchkuiyan Road to prevent inconvenience from Monday to Friday (23-27 March), between 0700-2300 hours (local time).
• Traffic staff have been deployed at key locations to regulate traffic; however, minor delays may be experienced during peak hours.
