As per reports, the Kuching District Police have announced road closures in connection with the Sarawak Regatta and Kuching Waterfront Festival’s opening and closing ceremonies. Closures will take place in the city centre on Friday (24 October) and Sunday (02 November), from 0700 hours (local time) to 1800 hours (local time), to facilitate the smooth conduct of these official events.

• On Friday (24 October) and Sunday (02 November), road closures will be in effect from 0700 hours (local time) to 1800 hours (local time).
• Roads closed include: • Jalan Gambier and Lebuh Wayang heading toward Jalan Main Bazaar • Lebuh Temple to Lebuh Wayang • The stretch from St Mary’s traffic light junction to Lebuh Wayang
• From 1200 hours (local time) to 1800 hours (local time) on the affected days, Jalan Pearl will be closed and its traffic light junction heading toward Jalan Wawasan.
• The same set of roads will be affected during both the opening and closing ceremonies.
• Motorists are advised not to park by the roadside in these areas.
