Traffic advisory issued for rehearsals for naval events scheduled in Vishakhapatnam from Monday to Thursday (16-19 February)

As per reports, the Visakhapatnam City Police has issued traffic regulations in view of several naval events scheduled in Visakhapatnam such as International Fleet Review (IFR), MILAN, ions, and the International City Parade (ICP-2026).

The following are the details:

• Monday and Tuesday (16-17 February): Rehearsals will be held on these days. The beach road towards the sea will be reserved for the Navy Parade from 1300 to 1800 hours (local time). Vehicles will be diverted at RK Beach NTR Circle and Park Hotel Junction. Visitors wishing to visit RK Beach on these dates are advised to arrive after 1800 hours (local time), according to local police.
• On Wednesday (18 February), a full dress rehearsal for International City Parade will be held. The Main event will take place on Thursday (19 February) at RK Beach Road from Park Hotel Junction to Naval Coastal Battery.
• Wednesday and Thursday (18-19 February): Extensive road closures will be in effect from 1300 to 2100 hours (local time). Vehicles without passes will not be allowed from Collectorate Junction to Naval Coastal Battery, CR Reddy Circle through All India Radio Junction to NTR Statue, and several other key routes including Park Hotel Junction to NTR Statue Beach Road.
• Road Transport Corporation (RTC) buses will stop at either Jagadamba Junction or GCC Junction based on traffic conditions.
• General motorists without passes will need to park at designated locations including MGM Ground, Andhra University Samatha Hostel Ground, Zilla Parishad premises, or Andhra Medical College Cricket Ground, depending on their direction of travel.
