The warning is valid until 0400 hours (local time) and has been issued due to atmospheric instability supporting thunderstorm development accompanied by heavy rainfall and strong winds.
• The warning applies to Sandakan district, specifically Telupid and Beluran, and Kudat district, including Pitas and Kudat.
• Thunderstorms with heavy rainfall are expected to affect the warned areas during the validity period. Strong and gusty winds are likely to accompany thunderstorm activity, particularly during periods of intense rainfall.
