The Malaysian Meteorological Department has issued a thunderstorm warning for parts of Malaysia on Thursday (05 February), with thunderstorms, heavy rainfall, and strong winds expected across multiple locations in Sarawak and Selangor.

• In Sarawak, thunderstorm activity is expected across Kuching, Serian (Serian), Samarahan, Sri Aman (Sri Aman), Betong, Sarikei (Sarikei), Sibu (Sibu), Mukah, Bintulu, Miri (Subis, Miri, and Marudi), and Limbang.
• In Selangor, affected areas include Kuala Selangor, Klang, Gombak, and Petaling.
• In Perak, the affected area includes Manjung, and in Pahang, thunderstorm activity is expected across Rompin.
• Thunderstorm activity is also expected across WP Kuala Lumpur.
