As per reports, an encounter between personnel of the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) and terrorists took place in the evening hours of Friday (15 March) in the Lakki Marwat area of Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) province.

CTD and other security forces conducted a joint operation near the Shah Hasan Khel and Abdul Khel areas of Lakki Marwat District, wherein three terrorists, including a prominent wanted commander of the banned Tehrik-e Taliban Pakistan (TTP), were killed in an exchange of fire.

• The area currently remains under heightened security amidst ongoing counter-terror operations to locate the associates and accomplices of the TTP commander.
