Temporary suspension of Marconi Express monorail service from Tuesday (30 September)

As per reports, Marconi Express has announced the suspension of its monorail service from Tuesday (30 September) till 11 October as part of a scheduled maintenance program aimed at ensuring service quality.

• During this period, resin restoration will be carried out on the runway along with other minor maintenance tasks. These works have been scheduled and consolidated to minimize passenger inconvenience and reduce interference with Marconi Airport operations during holidays and major trade fairs.
• The monorail service is expected to resume at 0540 hours local time (0340 hours UTC) on 12 October.
• A replacement shuttle bus service will operate from 0540 hours local time (0340 hours UTC) to 0000 hours local time (2200 hours UTC) daily, maintaining the connection between Bologna Central Station and the airport.
• Shuttle buses will stop at three locations: the arrivals exit on the ground floor of the airport, Lazzaretto Station on Via Terracini, and Bologna Central Station on Via Carracci.
• Transfers are estimated to take approximately 25 minutes, including an intermediate stop at Lazzaretto Station.
