As per reports, the City of Kent will close the West Meeker Street bridge over the Green River from 1900 hours (local time) on Friday (01 August) through 0400 hours (local time) on 11 August for minor deck repairs and resurfacing.

• Detour signs will be installed to redirect vehicular and pedestrian traffic via State Route 516.
• The bridge serves as a key entry and exit point to Kent’s downtown core, connecting Meeker Street to State Route 516 and Reith Road. It is adjacent to the Ethos Apartments complex and Riverbend Golf Complex, both of which are likely to be impacted by the closure.
