As per reports, the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has announced temporary airspace restrictions and a total drone ban across specified corridors of the Isle of Man on Tuesday (14 July).
• The temporary flight restrictions and airspace closures are scheduled to be in effect from 0800 hours local time (0700 hours UTC) until 1800 hours local time (1700 hours UTC) on Tuesday (14 July).
• Under the security directive, all unauthorized unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and drones, regardless of their size, mass, or weight, are strictly prohibited from operating within the designated zone.
• The restricted geographic boundaries encompass the airspace stretching from Laxey to Castletown and from Crosby Crossroads to Douglas Bay.
• King Charles III is scheduled to attend a formal Tynwald parliamentary sitting and proceed to multiple public community engagements across the island.
• The Isle of Man Constabulary is expected to actively monitor the skies using specialized tracking equipment to identify and prosecute any operators breaching the temporary flight ban.
• The affected areas include Laxey, Castletown, Crosby, Douglas, Onchan, and the maritime approaches adjacent to Douglas Bay.
