Suspected wartime bomb found at Quarry Bay on Friday (19 September); around 300 people evacuated

As per reports, the police received a report at 1207 hours (local time) on Friday (19 September) that a 4.3-foot suspected wartime bomb was found at a construction site on Pan Hoi Street in Quarry Bay. The Explosive Ordnance Disposal Bureau was deployed at the site.

Around 300 people working in the vicinity, along with site-workers were evacuated from the area. All lanes of Pan Hoi Street between King’s Road and Westlands Road were closed for traffic. At around 1450 hours, the MTR Corporation reported that exits A and B of Quarry Bay were temporarily closed.
