As per reports, suspected activists of the German climate activist group “Last Generation,” have allegedly entered various airports in Germany on Thursday (15 August) morning. Two activists breached Berlin’s Brandenburg Airport at 0500 hours (local time), following which teams of two activists each also breached the airports in North Rhine-Westphalia in Bavaria, Baden-Wurttemberg in Stuttgart, and Cologne-Bonn.
Furthermore, two activists also breached the airport at Nuremberg and managed to reach the runway, due to which reports indicate that flight operations may have been suspended. An official confirmation of the same is awaited.
