As per reports from Deutsche Bahn (DB InfraGO AG), intensive track expansion and foundation pile-driving work is taking place along the Lübbenau–Cottbus railway section from Friday (16 October) to Monday (19 October).
• Reports suggest that high-decibel acoustic emissions and ground vibrations are expected throughout day and night operational shifts, particularly in residential zones immediately adjacent to the railway line.
• Reports indicate that regional train services (including RE2 and RB24 lines) are subject to total closures and partial line suspensions between Lübbenau and Cottbus during the construction window.
• Reports indicate that railway authorities and municipal transit bodies expect elevated journey times, rail-replacement bus (Schienenersatzverkehr) operations, and localized neighborhood noise impacts between 2100 hours local time (1900 hours UTC) on Friday (16 October) and 0500 hours local time (0300 hours UTC) on Monday (19 October).
