As per reports, the Student Movement with the People (Gemarak) demonstrated in front of the House of Representatives building in Jakarta on Thursday (21 August). Gemarak reportedly raised several issues, ranging from rejecting capitalism, imperialism, among others.

• Protestors reportedly began arriving at the location around 1602 hours (local time), while a command vehicle was also observed arriving at the location.
• Additionally, a few vandalism has been reported in the gate area of ​​the parliamentary complex, where walls of the DPR gate were reportedly covered in red and black spray paint.
