As per reports, Egypt’s General Authority of Meteorology has issued a weather advisory warning of strong winds and disrupted maritime navigation across multiple regions of Egypt on Thursday (29 January).
• The overall weather is expected to be cold during the early morning hours, turning mild during the daytime in most areas, before becoming cold again at night.
• Strong and fast-moving winds, ranging between 35 and 50 kilometres per hour, are forecast to increase the sensation of cold and may raise dust and sand, particularly in exposed and desert-adjacent areas.
• Maritime navigation is expected to be disrupted along parts of the Mediterranean coast, including Salloum, Matrouh, El Alamein, Alexandria, Beheira, Kafr El Sheikh, and Damietta, due to rough sea conditions and strong winds.
• During the night, temperatures are expected to gradually decline further across several regions, while persistent wind activity is likely to continue.
