Kazhydromet has issued a storm warning for the Almaty Region for Monday (26 October). Northeasterly winds with gusts of 17–22 metres per second are forecast in the eastern parts of the region and mountainous areas.
• Overnight frost of 02–07 degrees is expected across the region. A high fire risk has also been forecast in the western, southern and eastern parts of the Almaty Region.
• In Almaty city and Kunayev city, overnight frost of 02–04 degrees and a high fire risk are expected.
• In the Ili Alatau mountainous areas, including the Medeu and Bostandyk districts of Almaty city, northeasterly wind gusts of 17–22 metres per second are forecast. The warning is valid till 2000 hours (local time) on Monday (26 October).
