According to reports, a stampede occurred at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Maitama, Abuja, on Saturday (21 December) morning. The stampede occurred between 0700 hours to 0800 hours (local time).
The incident occurred as hundreds of locals came to get church-provided palliative care. Over 3,000 local residents, attended the event.
