As per reports, five people were injured in a series of stabbings at Penn Station in New York City, New York on Sunday (07 June).

• Emergency responders arrived at approximately 1900 hours local time (2300 hours UTC) and transported all injured individuals to a hospital for treatment.
• Authorities reported one person sustained serious injuries, two sustained moderate injuries and two sustained minor injuries.
• A suspect has been taken into custody and investigations into the incident remain ongoing.
• The incident occurred at Penn Station, one of the busiest transit hubs in the US, ahead of the scheduled NBA Finals Game three at Madison Square Garden on Monday (08 June).
• Heightened security measures were already in place in the area due to the expected attendance of President Donald Trump at the event.
