South Korea, US and Japan carry out joint air drills over the Korean Peninsula on Friday (11 July)

As per reports, South Korea, the United States (US) and Japan held combined air drills on Friday (11 July) as part of efforts to strengthen their joint response against North Korea’s nuclear and missile threats, as per the South Korean Defense Ministry.

The exercise involved at least one US B-52H bomber, marking the bomber’s first deployment to the Korean Peninsula this year; South Korea’s KF-16 and Japan’s F-2 fighters were also involved in the exercise. The location of the joint exercise has not been confirmed by authorities at present.
