As per reports, the Somali National Army (SNA) has regained control of the Sumadley (Somadle) area in the Middle Shabelle region on Tuesday (28 July).
• Authorities described Sumadley as one of the largest remaining strongholds of the Al-Shabaab militant group in the region.
• Military forces are currently conducting extensive search and combing operations across the area to track down fleeing militants and secure the surrounding territory.
• The liberation of Sumadley is part of a broader series of military offensives launched by Somali government forces aimed at neutralizing terrorist elements and stabilizing the Middle Shabelle region.
