As per reports, Environment and Climate Change Canada issued a warning for moderate rainfall in parts of Quebec through Tuesday (27 February), and a strong cold front forecast for Wednesday (28 February) and Thursday (29 February).
• A winter storm warning has been issued for Saskatoon, as snowfall of up to 10 cm is expected until Monday (26 February) night. The city is expected to experience temperatures of up to minus 40 degrees Celsius.
• Furthermore, avalanche warnings have also been issued for British Columbia’s backcountry, which are expected to persist until Wednesday (28 February).
• Certain regions of Saskatchewan and Manitoba are experiencing significant snowfall as a winter storm swept through Canada on Monday (26 February). A snowfall warning was also issued for Russell, where Environment Canada anticipates snow accumulation of up to 20 cm and wind gusts reaching speeds of up to 60 km/h. The forecast also indicates wind chills of up to minus 30 Celsius for Monday (26 February) night.
