As per reports, hazardous winter conditions are forecast across Kharkiv city and Kharkiv Oblast throughout Wednesday (18 February) from 0000 hours local time (2200 hours UTC, Tuesday 17 February) to 2359 hours local time (2159 hours UTC).
• Regional forecasters have indicated snowfall transitioning to sleet or rainfall during the daytime, surface icing and road ice, and strong wind gusts.
• Wind is forecast at seven to 12 metres per second, with daytime gusts reaching 15 to 20 metres per second across the oblast.
• Air temperatures are forecast at minus six to minus 11 degrees Celsius overnight and zero to minus five degrees Celsius during the day across Kharkiv Oblast; within Kharkiv city, temperatures are forecast at minus eight to minus 10 degrees Celsius overnight and minus two to minus four degrees Celsius during the day.
• The Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center has forecast Kharkiv is expected to see significant snowfall overnight on Wednesday (18 February) with temperatures around minus seven to minus nine degrees Celsius, and daytime temperatures near zero to minus two degrees Celsius
